TA TA TA MA MA MA
These canvases are, as always in Bibin's work, filled with Balkan historical and cultural references: the cheap hollow bricks, the Ktitor, or Byzantine-era church builder, the crash helmets, the working gloves, an entire visual lexicon readily available outside his Novi Sad studio.
This series of paintings deals with issues of shame, guilt, theme of legacy, both personal and generational, as well as the question of free will, ie. biological, social and societal conditioning.
